As most people know by now, the Friday of HELLFIRE has unfortunately been cancelled. BURY TOMORROW were due to play on this day, and although some work went in to finding a slot for the band on one of the weekend days instead, no conclusion could be reached, meaning that the band will no longer be playing.
The good news though is that NO MADE SENSE and NO CONSEQUENCE will still be playing on the Sunday along with our good friends TESSERACT and THE ARUSHA ACCORD, along with a whole host of other wicked bands. So make sure you take advantage of our ticket offer for the event and we'll see you down there !
So tonight's show at The Croft in Bristol marks the passing of one of the UK's finest bands; EVITA
To commemorate the occasion we've got a series of 4 limited edition signed CD's and posters now available for auction up on our ebay site - click this link, check em out and grab yourself a little slice of history!
Long serving NO CONSEQUENCE bassist Tom Hale, announces that he is quitting the band. Here is a statement from the band and the man himself:
"I wish to announce that November 3rd at The Cellar Bar will be my last gig. Unfortunately, it is time for me to leave No Consequence. With the bands progression and ambition, I can no longer give the commitment the band deserves. I have really enjoyed my time with NC, and I’m proud to have been part of it. I have enjoyed the evolution of the music and band since it all started, and the friendships formed along the way. I have been lucky to play alongside such great bandmates, past and present, and thank them all for the fun. It’s been a hard decision to make, I’m sure I’ll miss these times. However I do know it’s the right choice for myself and the band. I wish my friends in NC continued success and thank them for the time we've had. I wish luck to Tom who's taking over and I hope he enjoys this as much as I have. And finally - thanks to the fans for their continued support and hope this continues and grows! " - Tom V1
NC says: "We want to say thank you to Tom for all his contributions to the band over the past 4 years, as one of the founding members (before we even became "No Consequence") he has been instrumental in helping carve the bands journey so far and the music that we create! He will not be missed.... because we're not letting him go as a friend!! he's still stuck with us and we know that we'll be devouring pizza and drinking with Tom for years to come. Tom is one of the nicest guys we've all ever had the pleasure of knowing and we have the greatest respect for his honesty about his future with the band! Thank you dude, we love you and we hope to see as many people as possible out on Tuesday November 3rd in Bracknell for Toms last show! So now we must welcome Tom V3, he's taking over on bass duty for NC... so here's a short statement from the man himself:"
"When I was first asked to join NC I knew it was a great opportunity to spend time in enclosed spaces with five sweaty men, and it turns out they make some awesome music! Now i cant wait for my first show with NC at the mighty Hellfire Festival in Birmingham on Nov 8th, and the chance to further combine my love of metal and homo-eroticism... (P.S - I love crack)" - Tom V3

Basick Records are very sad to announce that our metal-core favourites, Evita, have decided to call it a day.
We've had a great year working with the guys - releasing the stunning debut "Minutes and Miles" was epic and having them headline the Basick records summer tour was unreal! It’s been a great ride all the way and we, as I’m sure many you, will miss them hugely.
The band has released the following statement:
“We understand this will come as a shock to many people, but we feel that disbanding was a decision we had to make. We still remain very good friends but various commitments made it impossible for us to devote as much time to the band as we would like. “In the three years since we formed, we have had many member changes and we felt that the final line up was one we could not change, with every member of the band was vital to it functioning successfully.
This band was formed by Aaron and a group of friends as a hobby aged just 17, and we did not expect to ever do any of the things we did, such as playing shows in other countries and appearing in Magazines. We're so proud of everything we accomplished, however for the band to progress all of its members needed to be 100% committed, and this was not possible with university and job commitments as well as other musical projects taking priority in our personal lives.”
“We felt that we were able to produce music we loved and were passionate about, perform shows we were proud of and do it with our best friends, and to have shared it with thousands of people across the UK and Europe is the best feeling we could have ever had.”
The album 'Minutes and Miles' is still available through Basick Records.
Evita play their last ever show in their hometown of Bristol on Friday October 30th at the Croft. For more information, see www.myspace.com/evitaband

FELLSILENT's influential guitarist Acle Kahney has quit the band to dedicate himself to his progressive project TESSERACT on a full time basis.
Here is the official statement from the band:
"As some of you may have heard, Acle will unfortunately be leaving FELLSILENT to concentrate on his solo project TesseracT... Splitting the heavy work load of the two bands simply wasn't working out. It was a mutual decision and of course means both bands can concentrate solely on their seperate directions! Even though we remain close friends we will miss him. Good luck mush!
We would like to reassure fans that this is definitely not the end for FS. You can look forward to the release of our new video coming soon, as well as some cheeky releases from our 2nd studio album thats currently under work!
This also means that we are currently looking to recruit a new guitarist. A direct application for which can be found on our MySpace blog: http://www.myspace.com/fellsilent
Please have a read through the criteria and get in touch if you think you're what we're looking for !
We would like to thank you all for your continued support. FS."
